Rehearsals & Concerts

The Outreach Honor Band rehearses on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. in Room 170 of the School of Music. Students should be in their seats by 8:45 a.m. to warm up. Students need to bring their own instrument and a pencil to each rehearsal. Music and folders will be provided.
Students are expected to be at all rehearsals. Exceptions are for illness, family obligation or school music activity. If a student is absent more that three rehearsals, he/she will forfeit his/her membership in the organization and forfeit the opportunity to perform in the concert at the end of the semester. A concert will be scheduled at the end of each semester. Concerts will be held at Crowder Hall in the School of Music building on the campus of the University of Arizona. Concerts are free and open to the public.
There is a uniform requirement for concerts. Students are expected to dress nicely for the concerts. Concert uniform is black pants/skirt and a white dress shirt/blouse, with black shoes and black socks/hose.
Recordings (CDs or DVDs) of the performance might be available, and if available, may be purchased for a nominal fee.
