Connecting to the CFA Net Wireless Network from Windows XP Pro

First, ensure that your computer's wireless network interface has been registered with the campus DHCP network and that at least one business day has passed since you registered it. Log into Student Link's DHCP area for more information.

Right click on the Wireless Connection icon in the System Tray.

The Wireless Network Connection window opens:

Select CFA Net from the list and click Advanced. The Wireless Network Connection Properties dialog box opens, selsct CFA Net and click Configure:

In the Wireless Network Properties dialog box, check Data Encryption and Network Authentication (Shared Mode). Enter the network key you recieved in your e-mail for Windows XP Professional in the Network Key field.

If you haven't requested the network key for CFANet, follow this link to have it e-mailed to you:

Click the Authentication tab and ensure that "Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network" is not checked:
