I entitled my song Señor Migra (Mr. Border Patrol) 

and it's just what it says, it's a story of a seven year old child 

in Obregón that is praying for her dad who is about to leave 

to find a job in Tucson.

This song is about a corrido. 

There are corridos that have waltz rhythms and others have
a more ranchero sound.  This corrido that I wrote 

has a more ranchero sound, but it is still considered a corrido.

Speaking of Mexican ancestry

my name is Jack Baker, but I want you to know that I
am Chicano raised in the barrio.

my grandmother was born here in Tucson in 1879,
she will be one hundred and three years old
with God's favor on November 22.

so, thank you for the appreciation towards her.

es un bolerito ranchero, pero es corrido también.

mi abuelita nació aquí en Tucson en 1879,
va a cumplir ciento y tres años de edad
con el favor de Dios es dia 22 de Noviembre.
