Master of Music in Piano Performance with an emphasis in Dance

Students must be admitted as a candidate for the Master of Music in Piano Performance in order to be considered for this emphasis.
Recitals
The Final Recital Project (MUS915) for the MM in Performance/Dance Accompaniment, may consist of either a single recital of works for music and dance (between 50 and 90 minutes) or a several works performed on various concert venues. The candidate will demonstrate mastery of the accompanying instrument and keen sensitivity for the unique skills requisite to interpreting music for dance. This recital or series of performances must be created in consultation with, and approved by the major professor for the project.
The Recital Committee
Master’s Recital committee for the MM in Performance/Dance Accompaniment, will consist of the major professor as well as two other professors from the same area or a closely related area.
