Gabriela Zepeda de Hermosillo, individual studies 1997-98 (Fernández). After returning to her native Guadalajara (Mexico), Gabriela now plays keyboards for the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra and has resumed teaching.
Emily Yeh, M.M. 1996 (Woods). Emily is now living in Austin, Texas, were she is the conductor and musical director of a church choir and orchestra. She is the proud mother of a new baby.
Alexander Tentser, D.M.A. 1996 (Fernández). “Sasha” is, as usual, performing widely, both as soloist and as partner to his violinist wife, Anna. He also teaches for the University of Arizona Extension Division and Pima Community College. tent.gendl@worldnet.att.net
Keri Spremulli, M.M. 1996 (Fernández). With her dual talents in piano and percussion, Keri is teaching a large private studio (40 students) and teaching music at Norwalk (CT) High School. One of her students was recently selected for the All Eastern Band (playing marimba) and will get to play in Carnegie Hall with them. As if that were not enough, she “entertains” herself with additional duties as the music buyer for her parents’ music store and as a church organist/choir director.KERI1972@aol.com
Karen Fosheim, D.M.A., 1993 (Fernández). Immediately after receiving her D.M.A., Karen taught for a year at Black Hill State University (SD). Since 1994 she has been on the faculty at Delta State University (MS), where she was just promoted to Associate Professor. kfosheim@dsu.deltast.edu
Rosi Heinrichs Guerrero, M.M. 1993 (Fernández). Rosi received a D.M.A. in 1997 from Michigan State University, where she studied with Ralph Votapek. She remained there for 97-98 as Assistant Instructor in the Piano Pedagogy Department, providing comprehensive teacher-training for undergraduate piano pedagogy majors, instructing in the Piano Pedagogy Children’s Preparatory Program, and acting as the Coordinator of the Class Piano Program.
