CraigWalsh

Craig Walsh’s acoustic and electro-acoustic compositions have been widely performed across the United States and in Europe. He has received numerous honors including fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the Wellesley Composers Conference, and awards from Composer’s Inc. (Lee Ettelson Composers Award), Meet The Composer, The Russolo-Pratella Foundation (Luigi Rusollo Prize in Electro-Acoustic Music), the International Computer Music Association (Siday Prize), the University of Illinois (Salvatore Martirano Award), MTNA, NACUSA, and ASCAP.

Notable performances include those at Carnegie Recital Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, the Society of Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States, the International Computer Music Conference, The University of California-Davis (the Empyrean Ensemble), the Bourges International Electronic Music Festival, Lontano (London), the CyberArts Festival, and the Composers Conference. His music is recorded on the SEAMUS, Luigi Russolo, and Centaur and Albany Records labels, and is published by European American Music and CraigWalshMusic. Craig Walsh received his Bachelor of Music degree in Composition from the Mannes College of Music and his Master of Fine Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Composition and Theory from Brandeis University. His composition teachers included Eric Chasalow, Martin Boykan, and Yehudi Wyner.
