Office of Academic Student Services

The Office of Academic Student Services in the School of Music provides assistance to Graduate and Undergraduate students to help them achieve academic success at the University of Arizona. The School of Music has one of the most respected and well-established music programs in the United States. We have strong graduate and undergraduate programs supported with an exceptional faculty, great ensembles, fine conductors and many performance opportunities. We enroll approximately 300 undergraduate students in professional music degree programs, 200 in Bachelor of Arts programs, and 150 students in Graduate programs. The reputation for excellence earned by the faculty of over 64 nationally and internationally recognized musicians and scholars is well deserved. Faculty members regularly perform as solo recitalists or as guest artists with opera companies, symphony orchestras, chamber groups, etc. Record companies throughout the world list in their catalogs performances by School of Music faculty members, ranging from jazz to opera. In addition to their performing and academic recognition, however, faculty members are equally at home in the classroom and studio, and are dedicated to providing the highest quality of musical education to their students through an extensive program of one-on-one instruction and mentoring.
