Internship Title:  
Description:  Video Production Teaching Assistants  (part-time, non-paid/internship credit available if enrolled in internship course) needed for Native Eyes/Native Youth program.  This program provides after school video making classes for high school students from Ha:san Leadership and Prepatory School, a local charter school that serves Tohono O’odham youth.  Classes will be held in the UA School of Media Arts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6:00pm and some Fridays from 10:00am-3:00pm from Sept. 9-Oct. 30 and Feb. 23- early May. Assistants can work one or both semesters.  Classes will be taught by a UA Media Arts alumnus with a curriculum designed by Media Arts faculty.  Assistants will help students with class exercises. Description: Calling all code geeks! KOLD.com is seeking a tech-saavy intern for the upcoming fall semester.

This is your opportunity to get hands-on experience in web development for the number one news outlet in Southern Arizona. KOLD News 13 values the use of multiple platforms to serve the public. We want to tap your talents in getting this important job done.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable around computers. Specifically, we want an intern who knows their way around HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript. Experience with Flash is also good. An eye for aesthetics with perhaps some graphic design experience is helpful also.

Although the digital media intern will be working in a newsroom, a background in journalism is not required.

There are tons of projects KOLD.com has for the digital media intern to stay busy. From specific elements to complete page overhauls, a successful semester with KOLD.com will yield awesome examples for the budding professional’s portfolio.

• The internship is non-paid. The intern must enroll in a concurrent internship course through an accredited institution.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Assisting digital media producer in maintaining KOLD.com
o Pitching project ideas
o Using technology to execute projects and improve the website
o Teaching and/or assisting in teaching newsroom staff on various tools the intern is knowledgeable of

Description: Producer: Remote production with digital media classes in TUSD’s middle and high schools. Remote production of presentations and events, will assist with set-up, presentation and break down of multimedia events.Videographer/Editor: One-minute video profiles of TUSD students and employees for distribution over the Internet and the television station. General control room operations: program scheduling and editing graphics for the channel.Skills/Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of video field recording and editing techniques, although training will be provided on site.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ease of working with people is necessary in public education settings.

Internship Title: Organization of motion picture memorabilia from films in Arizona since 1912
Description: Student needed who is interested in motion picture production and history of film.Robert Shelton has a warehouse full of memorabilia from the time he owned Old Tucson. He had this on-going collection from 1959 to 1997. He’s also been fortunate to have some of his friends (JOHN WAYNE, ROBERT MITCHUM, ANDY WARHOL, KIRK DOUGLAS, ELIZABETH TAYLOR, ROBERT WAGNER)give him tokens of their friendship and appreciation on many occasions.We have formed a ROBERT SHELTON FOUNDATION AND MUSEUM which will eventually house this collection and much more. Donations will be sought and collected along with other artifacts from other film folks. This will be a central location for Arizona of ALL the most interesting facts, figures and artifacts dealing with motion picture in Arizona.
