| Description: | Video Production Teaching Assistants (part-time, non-paid/internship credit available if enrolled in internship course) needed for Native Eyes/Native Youth program. This program provides after school video making classes for high school students from Ha:san Leadership and Prepatory School, a local charter school that serves Tohono O’odham youth. Classes will be held in the UA School of Media Arts on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm-6:00pm and some Fridays from 10:00am-3:00pm from Sept. 9-Oct. 30 and Feb. 23- early May. Assistants can work one or both semesters. Classes will be taught by a UA Media Arts alumnus with a curriculum designed by Media Arts faculty. Assistants will help students with class exercises. This is your opportunity to get hands-on experience in web development for the number one news outlet in Southern Arizona. KOLD News 13 values the use of multiple platforms to serve the public. We want to tap your talents in getting this important job done. The ideal candidate must be comfortable around computers. Specifically, we want an intern who knows their way around HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript. Experience with Flash is also good. An eye for aesthetics with perhaps some graphic design experience is helpful also. Although the digital media intern will be working in a newsroom, a background in journalism is not required. There are tons of projects KOLD.com has for the digital media intern to stay busy.
