Office of Academic Student Services

The Office of Academic Student Services in the Dean's Office, College of Fine Arts works closely with you from the early admissions stages through graduation. We are committed to providing a holistic experience that ensures that you are well-equipped for the challenges of successfully gaining entrance to and completing a fine arts degree, as well as finding career opportunities after graduation from the University of Arizona.

The Office of Academic Student Services provides the following services:

• General admissions information and policy, including the application process for the University and the College of Fine Arts, on-campus and off-campus recruitment events, campus visits and other special recruitment events
• Academic guidance, including academic advising, academic distinction, academic probation, academic disqualification, and disability-related course substitutions
• Academic approvals, including enrollment in more than 19 units, general petitions and other petitions and appeals
• Career development, including providing major-specific resources, skill development, career, education, and employment planning, and learning opportunities that complement the existing Fine Arts curriculum
• College-wide ceremonies such as Pre-Commencement and Honors Convocation

You may also seek information and assistance directly with your academic unit: School of Art, School of Dance, School of Music, School of Theatre Arts, Department of Media Arts, and the Fine Arts Studies Program. Each academic unit in the College of Fine Arts has academic advisors who are available to provide detailed admissions information and academic advising and guidance.
