The Art Circle

The Art Circle provides a committed group of friends to support The University of Arizona School of Art through financial contributions and attendance at exhibitions, lectures and sponsored events.

Mission:

The Art Circle will support the mission of the University of Arizona School of Art: The School of Art, devoted to a rigorous and dynamic education in the visual arts, art history, and art and visual culture education, challenges students to think, produce, research and teach art critically, with an awareness of historical context as well as contemporary practice.

Goals:

• To broaden community outreach through educational opportunities in the visual arts
• To provide resources for School of Art programs and activities that benefit students, faculty, and the community

Benefits of Membership:

• Attend special receptions for BFA, MFA and faculty exhibitions
• Attend lectures and demonstrations by faculty and visiting artists and scholars
• Tour the private studios of School of Art faculty, students and alumni
• Preview and purchase art from BFA and MFA students and faculty
• Support the School of Art’s Visiting Artists and Scholars Endowment
• Participate in the Art Advisory Board’s intimate evening Art Salons
• Enjoy meeting with others who share interests in the arts

Special Events:

October: Art Circle welcome reception and Faculty/Student Demonstration at the School of Art.
November: Gallery talk and reception for the Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition at the Lionel Rombach Gallery.
February: Guided tour of the Visual Arts Graduate Research Laboratory.
March: School of Art faculty member open studio tour.
