Our coordinator this year is the (in)famous Sean Swanson '98. Even if you are remotely interested in participating this year, please email him at boomers30@hotmail.com.
Latest update from Sean regarding rehearsals and more:
Optional drum-slinging sessions will be held this Sunday the 21st and next Sunday the 28th at 5:30pm. If you're in town and can come put on a drum with us, bring sticks (if you have any) and print out the music (below).
Anyone who is planning on being around for any of the performances (bonfire, parade, or halftime) PLEASE email me so that I can get a head-count and have some cymbals, drums and carriers ready. Also let me know if you need some sticks or mallets and I'll do what I can to round some up. Maybe some of the more current members could bring what they have to share?!?!
In the past it has been a little hard to keep the sheet music from blowing away, so also think about sheet protectors and binder clips or clothespins.
Some things to discuss later but to keep in mind: we'll wear blue jeans/shorts and red polos for performances. I believe the UA alumni band has some really nice embroidered polos available for purchase as well. Also, we'll likely be required to purchase tickets to the football game and sit with the UA band. And finally - for your food and beverage enjoyment - there's an alumni social Friday night Nov. 2 after the bonfire, and an alumni tailgate tent before the game.
As always, all of the rehearsals and performances are optional. I would ask though that if you plan to perform at halftime that the rehearsal Saturday morning be mandatory. We will practice with the current UA band and cover the halftime performance/getting on and off the field. And the social opportunities are open to everyone as well, even if you don't drum with us!
Looking forward to seeing all of you!

The 411:
- There are 2 performances: Homecoming Parade (~morning), and the Halftime
performance w/ The Pride of Arizona (@ halftime). Free lunch after the parade provided by the Alumni Band.
- An alumni reunion party will be held Friday night, November 2, after the traditional
bonfire, complete with food, BEER and whine. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
- There will be rehearsal Saturday morning with The Pride ~8am,
to learn how to get on the field (stumbling, but NO CRAWLING PLEASE)
for the halftime performance.
