David Rodenkirch - Director of Marching Percussion

This will be David's 16th season as instructor/arranger with the "Pride of Arizona" and his 10th season as Arranger for the Drumline. He has a BA in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology.

 

Prior to instructing the Arizona Drumline, David played tenors on the line and instructed/arranged for percussion sections at several local high schools, including Amphitheater and Sahuaro. Additionally, he was on the percussion staff of Sunset Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps, has conducted marching percussion clinics for various high school drumlines in Tucson, Phoenix and Nogales, and has written/arranged marching percussion charts for several schools around the country. Dave also performs as a freelance musician, playing drumset and Zendrum for several Carribean steel drum groups, the contemporary rock band at Mosaic United Methodist Church, and with musical theatres throughout the year. He currently works in administration at Pima Community College.
