Areas of Study

The Division of Design and Technology of the School of Theatre Arts offers study in a number of areas of theatre design and production.

Undergraduate study consists of comprehensive training in theatre history, performance and production within the context of a liberal arts education. Emphasis is possible in the areas of: Costume Design, Costume Production, Lighting Design, Scenic Design, Sound Design, Stage Management and Technical Direction.

Graduate study consists of in-depth study of theatre literature and production coupled with intensive pre-professional training in one of the following areas: Costume Design, Costume Production, Lighting Design, Scenic Design and Technical Direction.
