Jazz Dance
Jazz dance technique classes focus on the development of technical skills and explore a variety of styles in "jazz" music and movement. The jazz dance faculty have extensive professional backgrounds with multiple jazz influences including performing company members of Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago. Individually, they have worked in professonal musical theater, corporate industrials, fashion and managed and directed their own companies. The variety of these expertise enables the faculty to utilize dimensional references in establishing training for dancers for the concert stage, teaching, and commercial applications of jazz dance in performance. Ballet and modern dance techniques are incorported and fused with jazz dance styles and movement sensibilities to realize an accomplished jazz dance artist.
