The BFA in Studio Art requires 80 units of art and art history and a minimum of 50 units of coursework outside of the Art Department. Unlike the BA in Studio Art, it does not require a minor. Beginning with the 1998 catalog year, it requires 2nd semester proficiency in a second language. You must choose an area of emphasis and complete 24 units of upper division coursework in this area.
