Dr. Maurice Sevigny, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and holds advanced degrees in art education from The Ohio State University. He is an alumnus of the Harvard University Advanced Management Program.
Dr. Sevigny has held teaching and administrative positions at Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green State University and The University of Texas at Austin, where he was Department Head and also held the Marguerite Fairchild Endowed Professorship of Art. He has taught in the public schools and administered Head Start, adult and special education programs. He has served on several National Advisory Boards, including N.A.E.A., the N.C.A.A. and ICFAD. His fields of interests are Visual Arts Education, Teacher Education, Arts management, Assessment in the Arts and Discipline-Based Arts Education.
