The Visual Resource Center provides a variety of services to the School of Art community including slide circulation, digital image production and access, technical support and equipment loans.
The digital imaging lab at the VRC is equipped with four Macintosh scanning stations (3 flatbed scanners, 2 35 mm slide scanners). Access to scanning equipment is available to School of Art faculty and graduate students.
It is highly recommended that computer time be reserved in advance. Sign up forms are located in binders adjacent to each station. In the spirit of equity, we require that reservations be limited to two-hour time blocks. VRC staff maintains priority status on all stations. In the event that a VRC order needs to be completed, you may be asked to reschedule your reservation time.
Slide carousel trays are available for loan in the VRC. Rooms 245 and 312 are equipped with carousel and digital projectors, Mac Computers, VCR and DVD players, and Internet access.
The VRC is located in Room 247 in the Art Building and is open to the academic community from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. After hours access is limited to SOA faculty, TA’s and VRC staff only.
