The School of Art provides many scholarships, fellowships and teaching assistantships for incoming and continuing graduate students including the Medici summer research awards of $500.00 (between 4 to 7 received each year by Three D majors); a recruitment award of $10,000.00 that rotates between areas within the school; a graduating MFA final project award from the Graduate College of $5,500.00, and the annual Centennial award of $5,000.00 for a public commission on campus. This award supplies materials for a large-scale project that is sited on campus for one year. Recruitment grants and loans are also available through the Graduate College for minority students.

Our Graduate students have received national and international travel awards ranging from $300.00 to $1,500.00 from the Dean of Fine Arts, the Tucson Pima Arts Council, and the Arizona Commission on the Arts.

Other award and exhibition opportunities in the community include group and solo exhibitions at campus galleries including the Lionel Rombach Gallery, the Joseph Gross Gallery and the Kachina Lounge. Other venues include many local galleries and juried shows at the Tucson Museum of Art, the Tohono Chul conservancy park gallery, the Mesa Arts Center, the Phoenix Museum of Art and the Shemmer Art Center in Phoenix.
