Carlton Bradford - Sculpture

Carlton earned his M.F.A. from the University of Arizona in 1986 and has been on faculty in the 3-D division for three years, teaching primarily in the areas of metal and wood fabrication. He taught at the College of Marin , in the San Francisco area, from 1989 - 1994. During this time he exhibited with the Stephen Wirtz Gallery in San Francisco, as well as participating in many group shows and competitions. He has also worked as an assistant to many sculptors in differing mediums (all aspects of foundry work, carving and fabricating wood sculpture and large-scale metal fabrication and installation). From 1995 - 2000, he worked for The Larson Company, here in Tucson, as a production sculptor and project supervisor.
Aurore Chabot - Ceramics

Professor Aurore Chabot is the primary Ceramics professor and has taught at the University of Arizona since 1988. Her status as artist and educator in the field of ceramic art has been recognized by her election to the Director-at-Large position from 1999 to 2001 and appointment to the Publications Director position from 2001 to 2004 on the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) National Board of Directors. She has completed two major national public art commissions, received two NEA individual artists grants, been invited to numerous visiting artist engagements, and her work has been included in over 100 national and international exhibitions and numerous books and periodicals. Most recently, her work was included in an international invitational exhibition at the Taipei County Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan and one of her sculptures was purchased for their collection.
James Cook - Sculpture

James Cook is currently Chair of the 3-D Division. He received his B.F.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley and M.F.A. degree from the California Collage of the Arts. His sculpture and video work has been extensively exhibited nationally and internationally, and he has participated in residencies, conferences, and symposia in the United States, Spain, India, Nepal, and Bulgaria. He has received numerous grants and fellowships, including the Fulbright Regional Research Fellowship to the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia and Freeman Foundation Fellowship to India and Nepal.
Moira Geoffrion - Sculpture

Moira Geoffrion teaches Combined media and Figure Modeling. Her own work combines painting with casting and fabrication of found and sculpted forms often in large installations. Her work has been exhibited throughout the USA including in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago and Denver. She has exhibited internationally in St Petersburg, USSR; Zurich, Switzerland; Sydney and Perth in Australia; Oryahovo, Baltchik and Rousse in Bulgaria; Gyor, Hungary and in Africa in Sierra Leone and Malawi. Geoffrion has public art works in Indiana and Arizona, with recent commissions for the Town of Oro Valley and for Tucson in Arizona. Geoffrion has worked with graduate students on all of her public projects including several recent collaborative projects for Phoenix, AZ and for Sydney, Australia. Her numerous grants include a Mellon grant, ACA, ICA and ICIP Fulbright grants.
Dennis Jones - Sculpture
Jones directed the Sculpture Area from 1983 to 1987. His work is exhibited nationally and he has completed many large-scale sculpture commissions for public and private collections. Jones has lectured extensively on the relationships among mathematics, metals, and aesthetics.

Wimmer is the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships including an NEA Individual Artists' Grant, a Fulbright Fellowship, three fellowships from the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) for extended research and travel in Eastern Europe, and grants from the Pennsylvania Council for the Arts and Tucson/Pima Arts Council. Her work has been exhibited throughout the US and abroad since 1971, and is found in many public and private collections including the National Museum of Textiles in Poland. Among other honors, her work was awarded the Juror's Prize at the "International Biennial of Tapestry" in Beauvais France in 1996. She was the initiator and curator of the landmark exhibitions "Contemporary Polish Fiber Art" at the Museum of Ein Harod in 1991 and "Contemporary Israeli Fiber Art" at the National Museum of Textiles in Poland in 1993. During the past 30 years Wimmer has been invited to speak to audiences as both lecturer and visiting artist at universities, art centers and museums throughout the US and abroad. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa since 1965.
